The seller sold the item I won at auction, I never asked for the cancellation, so after payment I was told that the item is no longer available, he offered me to choose something else. I welcome advice

You don't have many choices:

choose something else
have the purchase canceled with a refund

Obviously if you chose something else... otherwise they already told you they no longer have the item...
