Cancelled class
After winning an auction and making the payment, instead of shipping the item, the seller refunded me the full amount without giving any reason. When I asked why he had refunded me, he replied that he had received a full-price offer elsewhere and so he sold the item there instead.
Is that right? Can he do that?

Mentore2 years agoYou can do it even if it's not right (just like there are buyers who win the auction and then don't pay).
Ebay has no leverage to force the seller to ship; for this action they won't be shot, but they'll receive a warning.
More warnings lead to increasing difficulties in operating on ebay, up to exclusion.
