This one won but... lost
that is... I clicked my best bid in time, 170 E, three quarters of a second before the closing, a conflict signal appears between two bids and then the auction is lost to a competitor who won it at 114 E.
Note the difference 170 to 114... that must be important for the seller too, I imagine!
Since Ebay is the one handling it, should I think that in the event of a conflict between two bids, it comes down to a coin toss?
In truth it happened to me to win an auction always by 'mistake' or after a 'conflict' signal, with the win assigned to me, but there I had already understood that I had arrived too late. That time I hadn't complained... and okay, we're all inhuman... but this time it burns because I needed the item and I wanted it...

Mentore2 years agoObviously your bid was not recorded correctly because it was made with considerable delay... "three quarters of a second before closing" would put even a 1 Gbps connection to the test!
So, you were late, there is no other explanation.

OP2 years agoBut I’ve won auctions with a fraction of a second left before the close. Anyway, it’s true that sometimes the connection is slow, and in that case even a few seconds’ head start wouldn’t be enough.
