Fairer auctions
The auction system is wrong in my opinion! When they’re about to end, someone comes in and bids at the last second and you don’t have time to place a counterbid. Why not increase it by 1 minute or half a minute if someone bids at the last moment? That way the seller would also make more, and it would be fairer.

Last-second bids are part of many buyers’ strategy, and then there are also automatic bid increments.
