cell phone battery dead after 7 months from purchase
I bought a mobile phone, after 7 months the battery died. Can I ask for a refund, or a new battery in exchange?

Mentore3 years agoFirst of all, it depends on the seller from whom you made the purchase.
The 24-month legal warranty is a legal obligation only for professional sellers with registered offices in an EU country. If you bought from a private individual or from a seller outside the EU, you have no protection.
Another issue is that after 6 months, the burden of proof (that there is a defect) is on the buyer. For a battery it is almost impossible to prove that it was an inherent defect and that the problem is not due to improper use (number of charge cycles, excessively high charging currents, temperatures, etc....).
