Blocking the Seller's funds for an item not delivered by the courier
I think that eBay’s policy regarding the freezing of the Seller’s funds from sales to refund a Buyer who opens a dispute for an item not received is illegal when the Seller has correctly and regularly entered the shipment codes and the related data on eBay’s sales form.
The Seller cannot and must not be responsible for the failure to deliver an item because it depends on the courier. Users open these disputes incorrectly and in bad faith.
eBay makes an unlawful appropriation of the Seller’s money to reimburse the Buyer.
I have submitted a written complaint by mail (black on white) in Germany to have this absurd policy changed. I urge all Sellers who agree to follow the example so as not to be subject to people in bad faith who operate on eBay.

Mentore2 years agoProfessional sellers are responsible, under the consumer code, for shipping until it reaches the customer’s hands.
Private sellers, by accepting eBay’s rules, are responsible for shipping until it reaches the customer’s hands.
The rules can be changed, but as long as these are the rules, there is no misappropriation.
Also consider that it is much harder for the recipient to get reimbursed by the courier than for the sender.
