for a purchase from the UK, when viewing the cart an amount in pounds of 66.09 is displayed, correctly corresponding to 76,82 euros, but when proceeding with actual payment the amount becomes 80 euros, as if the exchange rate changed at the moment of payment, increasing the amount in euros.

has anyone had the same issue?

An exchange rate with fees is practically unavoidable. Unless you have a business card (which anyway has fixed costs), even if you pay in GBP they would still apply fees.
