it would be useful to know where you bought it... please don’t answer "on eBay"... but rather what type of seller... private or professional?
If private, you can safely take your item to the dump... if professional (EU, if non-EU it counts as private!) and more than 6 months have passed since the purchase, you have to prove to the seller that it is a manufacturing defect in order to use the warranty.
