Good morning, yesterday I wanted to buy a carbon heater, eBay sent me an email in which it said
Hello, yesterday I was about to buy a carbon stove, after receiving an email in which eBay invited me to take advantage of a €10 discount on a range of selected products. Among these there is also the stove I would like to buy. In the email I was told that to get the discount, I would have had to copy an alphanumeric code and then declare my intention to use it, by tapping a dedicated button in the email. I thought about using this code, so I wrote it down on a sheet of paper, to then use it for the purchase I wanted to make, the stove. I must say that I made 3 purchase attempts, carrying out the whole purchase procedure and then entering the discount code in the appropriate box. But at the last moment I changed my mind and did nothing more. I let some time pass, but this time I was really determined to complete the purchase by paying for the stove with a debit card. But to my surprise, when I entered the alphanumeric code, a red message appeared saying: "wrong code, try again." I tried again, but the code eBay had given me seemed no longer valid. So it can no longer be used. And this is strange, because according to what eBay wrote, this code expires on February 19. It is as if this discount had been taken away from me. Maybe eBay, through one of its staff members, intended to "punish" me for not having completed the purchase of the stove with payment three times? Yes, maybe eBay "punished" my indecision, so it took away the discount. It must be said that nowhere does it say that the buyer must use the purchase right away and properly, otherwise the discount is blocked. And then eBay explicitly says that the discount can be used until February 19. For this reason I thought that eBay, in its admirable kindness, would give me a new code, but so far it has not done so.

Mentore3 years agoProbably in the Terms and Conditions of the discount voucher you would have found it written that you could use it THREE times... by doing the test THREE times, you burned through the voucher...
So you “punished” yourself...
Kind regards.
