Good morning everyone,

A buyer asked me if they could pay for an order with PayPal. Is that still possible?

the buyer can pay however they prefer, Paypal included... but as I think you already know, you can't receive the proceeds from the sale in your Paypal account...

So, from what I understood from your reply and given that... , since the PayPal logo is still present in eBay payments, the buyer can use this payment method and the proceeds will then be directed to the seller's account since they can't receive them in their PayPal account... Did I understand correctly?

Regardless of the payment method chosen by the buyer, ebay withholds its fees and deposits the remainder into the bank account associated with the seller's account.

For new sellers or those who sell only occasionally, payments are held for 15 days.

Good evening,

Yes, the foreign buyer wants to send me the payment to my PayPal account because he has problems with his card. I explained that it is no longer possible, I was well aware of that as I have been selling on eBay for a few years, but after a lot of back-and-forth emails and insistence I wanted further confirmation.

The buyer can easily pay with PayPal, through eBay's payment page.

If they ask for a direct payment to you, bypassing the protections eBay would give them, something doesn't add up!

I would be wary and think about a possible Nigerian scam.
