Good morning, I would like to ask what the differentiated VAT amount is when buying a watch in Germany
I have never bought abroad, I'm not familiar with it. If someone can help me, I thank them in advance

Mentore3 years agoAnyway, breaking down the VAT from 1000 euros, that's a taxable amount of 840 and 160 of German VAT at 19%.
So applying the Italian one, 840 + 22% = 840 + 185 = 1025 euros
So the difference in VAT between Germany and Italy represents 2.5%

OP3 years agoIn the meantime, thanks
So if I buy for 1000 euros I shouldn't have to pay the difference between German VAT and ours
Thanks again

Mentore3 years agoNo, it depends on how much the seller has sold this year. ....up to the annual sales threshold of Euro 10,000 (net of VAT) the VAT of the country where the supplier is established will apply.

Mentore3 years agoIt depends on the seller; if the threshold is exceeded, they have to charge you Italian VAT at 22% instead of German VAT at 19%.
Starting from July 1, 2021, distance sales to private EU consumers will be subject to VAT at the rate in the country where the goods arrive; the rule does not apply if distance sales of goods during the year do not exceed the single threshold, across the entire EU territory, of Euro 10,000.
So:

Mentore3 years agoGermany is part of the European community, so there is no differentiated VAT to pay...
Kind regards.

OP3 years agoThanks for the answer but in the listing there is specifically differentiated VAT. For this reason I don't understand
Thanks again

Mentore3 years agoMaybe it has already crossed the threshold.
