Exchange goods
Good evening everyone
last week I bought a refurbished phone from a professional seller and so far no problems, fast shipping and everything ok. As soon as I open the box I notice that the device is not at all as described in the listing: what was supposed to be an excellent-grade refurbished item turns out to be a very used phone, and badly at that, with very obvious signs of wear, scratches, scuffs and discoloration. So I go ahead and write to the seller, who offers me a partial refund of 20 €, which honestly on an order of 440€ is nothing, and so I refuse, proposing an exchange because I placed this order with the eBay Refurbished coupon and so if I returned it I would get back the amount I spent but I would have to add more money to buy another one because obviously the promotion has expired.
in the end the seller offered me a replacement with the following arrangement: the courier comes to my house, delivers the new replacement device and at the same time picks up the old device.
my only fear is one: but if the seller were to put a brick in the new package and I had already handed over the old one, would I still be covered against this kind of fraud?
thank you, see you soon

Mentore3 years agoYou wouldn't be covered. Just like you wouldn't be covered if the “new” phone didn't work. With a replacement, I also have serious doubts about possible later PayPal disputes or chargebacks
The best thing would be to do a return for non-conforming item (return at the seller's expense) and get back what you spent.
Too bad about the voucher.......... in my opinion, it's not worth the risk.
bye

Mentore3 years agoWhat if you put in the brick yourself?
If the "professional seller" has предложed you this option, if you don't want to lose the voucher used, you have to trust them...
Otherwise, open a return request, you will be obliged to send it back and obtain a refund, with the consequent loss of the bonus...
In any case, if you don't open any request and the time frame doesn't exceed 30 days, you can then later open a return request...
Kind regards.
