Edge case: item shipped, not received... refund... item delivered (late)... and now?
Hi everyone,
I ran into a borderline case.
I sold an item; shipped it with the postal service (with tracking code). Delivery expected in a few days... the package gets stuck for some reason at the sorting center in Bologna... it doesn't move for days... the buyer opens a dispute... and, not receiving the package... which seems lost forever (also confirmed by the postal service, which refunds me the shipping cost)... he receives a full refund from me.
After more than a month, incredibly, I get a notification from the postal service... "package delivered..." I check in the system and that's how it is, I ask the buyer to confirm and he confirms...
At this point it seems fair that he pay for the item (minus the shipping)... and I also offer to pay any costs to send it back to me if he is no longer interested. He tells me he'll let me know... but I fear I'll never hear from him again...
Has this ever happened to you? Too bad you can't "punish" and report on eBay somehow...

Mentore2 years agoAccording to eBay, the procedure is closed.
He was refunded, so the goods had returned to your possession. You did everything correctly, and you even offered to take them back at your own expense. If the value of the goods is significant, you can report him for misappropriation.
