Ask for an explanation
I sold a sticker album, including the description, the description is in Italian, some things had defects that I pointed out..
a foreign user bought it and now is disputing the things I had described, asking for a replacement, but I don't understand… he says it's my fault because I didn't write it in multiple languages but that seems absurd to me, someone copies it and translates it into the language they want or asks me for explanations before buying
I’m asking who is right in this case
thanks

OP3 years agoSorry, but am I obligated to accept the return (even if the complaints are about things that were described and not others) but I’m not obligated to pay the shipping costs to have it sent back to me, right? Because I understand a return when there are things that aren’t right for you and weren’t described, but for things that were described and already sold several times, it seems a bit presumptuous

Mentore3 years agoYou are a professional seller, so you should know how things work for online sales... if a return request is opened for an item not as described (whatever you wrote in the listing), you won't get out of it unscathed, the return is at your expense.
Kind regards.

OP3 years agoOk, of course I know that, but my question was whether, according to the community, it’s right that I describe the defects, he buys, and then he disputes those defects, and not others; in this case eBay should review the messages exchanged and act according to the situation, not always side with the buyer.. since you give advice to users, maybe give some advice to eBay too! Because buyers are just as important as sellers in my opinion.. if someone decides to ruin me, buys 100 items from me with shipping abroad, and opens returns for all of them, do I have to pay for 100 shipments at €40 each?
if you think that’s normal, keep writing that I’m a professional seller and should know certain things, but maybe eBay doesn’t know the damage it can cause
best regards

Mentore3 years agoThe community is useful for giving advice, opinions, viewpoints... but it doesn't solve problems, nor is it in contact with the "top people" as many think... because if we were, you would be too, since you're a member of the community too!
Ebay provides a showcase, but it's the individual seller who is responsible for it... if they mess up, they can't blame ebay because it gave them visibility!
So, since you're professional, you have to take business risk into account and it would be a good idea, actually, it's a legal obligation, to clearly display your VAT number.
Kind regards.
