Good morning everyone
I’m writing to you because I’m afraid of the protection the platform offers the seller
I sold a buyer €170 worth of material
He contacts me and asks for shipping information
I send over the shipping details and the clown opens a dispute saying he received no information
Package arrived at destination, it’s an international registered letter, and here comes the buyer’s theatrical stunt
he loses the dispute (because the item was received) and half an hour after the dispute closes he leaves negative feedback, folds up all the material (photos sent by him to ebay) and claims that some cards are missing (which is absolutely not true9
he opens a return request and even though we have all the photos of how the material was sent we’re afraid the platform will refund him and we’ll be left with all the material ruined by this piece of shit...
how can we protect ourselves???
thanks so much to anyone who replies

Mentore1 year agoThere is no protection, set up the return at your own expense within the time limits set by eBay, at least force the "less-than-honest" guy to make the return, otherwise eBay lets him keep the money and the item.
It’s also possible that, seeing he’s forced to return it or he won’t be refunded, he’ll give up.

OP1 year agoThanks a lot for your reply
Believe me, it really pisses me off that this is becoming a platform that facilitates scams
Protection for sellers equal to 0

Mentore1 year agoOnline the seller is protected very, very poorly everywhere... And often also offline
Maybe being forced to take the return... the little scammer will back off 🤞

·1 year agowe're on eBay not Amazon where they help thieves 😉

OP1 year agoare you so sure that scammers aren't protected here???
he definitely won't send the material back to me the way I sent it, since he deliberately bent the cards when it arrived
I have the photos taken at departure, at the start of my shipment, and everything was perfect since we have 42,000 sales behind us
once he lost the dispute for item not received, he bent everything and asked for a refund
so I'll end up with material to throw away and I'll have to refund this clown
