I close a return for a product that doesn't match the description, but then I find out it doesn't even work
I buy a 4TB SSD that, as it was described on the listing, was supposed to have a read speed of 7,400 MB/s, and I bought it հենց because of that. After buying it, I went to the manufacturer’s website and realized that in reality the read speed is only 5,600 MB/s. As soon as I receive it I open a return request, then I change my mind and, despite everything, decide to keep the SSD, so I close the request. I take the PC to the technician to have it installed and there’s another surprise: the SSD doesn’t work because it has 2TB hardware but the PC reads it as 4TB, as it should really be. The problem is that when the PC starts the SSD formatting process it reads it as 4TB, but then it doesn’t find 4TB hardware, only 2TB, and says that the storage space is insufficient. At this point I need to request a return for a non-functioning product, different from the one for which I had previously closed the return request, but eBay does not give me the option to open a new return process, even though the reason is different from the one I closed before? 128 euros, so have I lost them because eBay washes its hands of it?

Mentore2 years agoYou're the one who made the mistake by closing the return request... whether the reason is item not as described or not working, it's the same.
Ebay, after your mistake, can no longer help you.
You need to turn to the payment method, dispute with Paypal or chargeback on your card.
Kind regards.
