How do I avoid scams when selling items abroad?
A user from Cyprus with 2 positive feedback and 0 negative ones won an item I put up for auction worth 615 euros.
How do I 100% avoid scams like, for example, getting a different product returned in the event of a return or them saying the package was never delivered?

Mentore2 years agoIf you want to avoid it 100%, avoid selling abroad... there are already so many headaches selling only in Italy!
There's no way to predict or prevent situations like this with online sales.

OP2 years agoI should add that the item in question is a laptop, so my biggest fear is that it gets returned and comes back to me missing some component

Mentore2 years agoYou can try to reduce the risk by choosing an international courier (UPS, DHL,....), carefully photographing the item with the serial numbers of the internal components, but unfortunately, if you run into a crafty and dishonest user, you won't have a chance.
No matter what you do, there will always be some residual risk, inherent in all remote sales with guaranteed payments.
