How is eBay doing, if at all, in checking its sellers regarding their reliability...
my small and modest piece of advice, regarding purchases on this platform, given my recent, negative experience: do not make high-value purchases or buy items of a particular brand. If someone intends to recycle-sell a counterfeit product or stolen item, they can freely list it, also advertising positive 'feedback', on this site, with email addresses and phone numbers that are even made up, and then disappear after a few days...e-bay assumes no responsibility! It just, innocently, acts as an intermediary

Mentore3 years agoIn fact, the responsibility for what is put up for sale is only the seller’s (as on all platforms).
Ebay still gives you the option to return the item (at the seller’s expense), if it is counterfeit, and ensures that you get a full refund.
Ebay guarantees you a refund regardless of whether the seller wants to cooperate or not, and then they’ll deal with the seller. So I don’t understand what you mean by negative experience, since you’re an eBay expert and you know very well that a seller can’t just disappear that easily.
