How can you protect yourself from people who edit listings during the purchase?
Hello, I went ahead and bought two games, but before accepting my purchase, the seller changed the listing by putting two empty boxes up for sale, at a fairly high price for two cardboard boxes. I tried to contact the seller telling them that I would not have wanted to buy them, but I never received a response. Today I’m left with two empty boxes that I can’t even return (because obviously they don’t accept returns). I kindly ask you, how should I handle this, since something like this has never happened to me. Thank you in advance.

Mentore3 years agoHello,
sellers cannot "accept purchases"... they can accept a formal offer from you... either you make the purchase or you don't, regardless of the seller's wishes.
In both cases then, I confirm what Mario already said, so let's say that you made a purchase without paying attention to what you were buying... it seems to me the most obvious solution...
Best regards.

Mentore3 years agoIt’s not possible to change the description after the sale. So if you really bought two empty boxes, then that’s your problem now.
If, on the other hand, the listing doesn’t state that they’re supposed to be empty boxes, you can request a return even if the seller disagrees.

When an offer has been sent or received:
You cannot:
