How do I make a complaint about the terrible service provided by eBay?
Good morning everyone. I sold an old radio through e-bay and chose to use Packlink’s shipping service. Despite the fact that I packed the item amazingly well, wrapped it in cardboard, and then marked the package as “fragile,” the radio arrived broken (and it wasn’t easy to break...). I tried to report the problem to e-bay, I managed to get into chat with an operator (something I haven’t been able to do for days now) who told me the claim had to be made directly to the shipper. Once I contacted them, they told me my claim could not be accepted because the old radio was among the items that packlink prohibited from being shipped.
It seems absurd to me that e-bay relies on a shipping service that prohibits shipping at least 50% of the things that are normally sold through the e-bay platform. We’re not talking about animals, weapons, explosive substances, but it seems that among the prohibited items there are (along with alcohol, art items, engine parts) antique or vintage items "dated 50 years or more, technology dated 20 years or more, vintage objects".
I find it rather unfair that e-bay’s reference shipper bans without reason the shipment of old (vintage) items, which are among the items most often sold on e-bay.
I would have liked to report it directly to e-bay, but there is no way to make a report or complaint that isn’t channeled into a specific scheme.
In the end I paid for the shipping, paid the e-bay fee, but, to be fair, refunded the buyer what they had paid for the item that arrived in pieces...
Is there a way to get a complaint to e-bay? does anyone know how to do it?
Thanks

Mentore3 years agoUnfortunately eBay doesn't sell anything... doesn't ship anything... the only complaint you can make is to Packlink, which is just a shipping broker...
Sorry about what happened, but it could have happened with any other shipping service.
Best regards.
