How do I contact Ebay's legal department?
Good evening
on behalf of a person whose account has been blocked over a debt with Ebay (and who therefore can't access the community) I'm asking how it is possible for their lawyer to contact Ebay's legal department.
We've been trying with 3 users, but the absurd answer we've been given is to send a paper registered letter to the office responsible for Italy, that is, in Germany (!).
Given that if a multinational has a branch and legal headquarters with a corresponding VAT number in a country, it should at the very least have a legal department or a firm appointed in that country itself, it seems curious and decidedly outdated to me that in 2024 a lawyer should have to send (to abroad, moreover) a registered letter in paper form only instead of an email, which by now is used worldwide.
German companies (GmbH and others) are not obliged to have the German equivalent of "PEC", but at least an email address to talk with the legal department I would have expected....
Do you also see it this way?

Mentore1 year agoYou can find the necessary information on all eBay pages; they are probably the ones required by German regulations for a Luxembourg company operating from there:

OP1 year agoThanks, I read the two links you posted and in fact it seems that the only way to contact the legal office for administrative matters is to send a paper registered letter to Germany, with an inevitable extension of timelines, and a complication in handling and archiving the various reply communications.
