Hi everyone, sorry, but a buyer, right from the start and without even asking for support, decided to open a dispute for a defective and non-working item.

All that said, and the fact that it was obviously working, my question, as a private seller and a newbie, is about one issue.

If I accept the return for this reason, will I still have to pay the associated eBay fees?

Is there any way not to pay them, given that the buyer would get a full refund and so nothing would have actually been sold?

On top of that, I’ll also be out 24 euros in shipping costs for both outbound and return postage, with no certainty of getting my joystick back and not a replaced or tampered-with one.

And if I decided to let them keep it (we’re talking about an original joystick sold for 20 euros), would I get negative feedback?
