suspicious buy and sell
hi, I'm watching an item, I don't know if I can post the link, an audio product being auctioned at a price that for now is way too affordable, starting from 1 euro, keep in mind that on average it's rare to find it used for less than 400 euros. It's now at 175 euros, I noticed that all the other bids are from suspicious users, with fake names, like g.....ux1 and there are only 2 of them. The seller has all positive feedback and is in Germany. The auction is still not over anyway, but it seems strange to me that there isn't a bid from a "normal" user

Mentore2 years agoThe names of all other users are always encrypted in all auctions, only you can see your username in plain text.
I don't see anything unusual in the bidding history, there are still more than 2 days left until the auction ends and you'll see that most bids will be concentrated in the final moments.
I normally only bid in the last 10 seconds.

OP2 years agoreally? even for sellers? I mean, the ones who have left positive feedback as sellers? I don’t think so

Mentore2 years agoWhat does that have to do with it? Sellers also publish listings with their extended usernames. Professional ones should indicate the company name and contact info in every listing too.
However, we're talking about buyers, so their identities are encrypted both in the auction and in the feeds.

Mentore2 years agoThe real eBay auctions happen only in the last 10 seconds. Everyone indicates the maximum bid they are willing to pay for that item.
