Ghost delivery

Hello everyone. I bought a small item from China, an old CPU for a few euros. Tracking says it has arrived at the sorting center. The problem is that I keep receiving “false” notifications about attempted deliveries. They claim they tried to deliver at 5:30 or 6:00; at that time I normally wake up and no one has ever rung my intercom: at that hour my wife could kill :o). I complained to the seller and the issue keeps being bounced back to eBay “it’s eBay that chooses the courier...”. I work from home and my wife doesn’t work. It’s been 2 weeks now that I’ve been getting these fake messages and at the same time the package is available for pickup (how it can have the gift of ubiquity I have no idea) Pickup at an unspecified center, and here maybe it’s me who can’t find the center, but the nearest one is too far and so I’m not going out of my way: the fuel costs me more than the product.
The question: if I don’t go pick it up, does the product go back and do they refund me?
How can I prove that they never even tried to deliver it?
Thanks to anyone who can give me a suggestion

Mentore1 year agoGranted that the courier is always chosen by the seller.
If the courier certifies that it attempted delivery and that then you did not go to pick it up during the storage period, you are not entitled to a refund.
