Advice for dealing with a situation
Good evening everyone.
I made a mistake by trusting a seller and seeing his 2600 stars.
I contacted him through eBay messaging about 5 listings, and he replied telling me to contact him by mobile phone to make things faster.
I, ( unfortunately naive) and trusting his stars, wrote to him and made the bank transfer. At that moment, instead of writing sold on eBay, he deleted the listing. I waited a couple of days and nothing arrived. I contacted him again and asked him for the shipping code, which he still hadn’t sent me. He sent it to me, I went to check, and it turns out the package was being returned to the sender because the recipient couldn’t be found. (First time this has happened to me, and coincidentally with a seller who asked me to go outside eBay). I bought other things in the same few days and they all arrived.
Now he tells me that to resend it he needs 10 euros, or he’ll refund me but keep the 10 euros. I asked eBay to step in but the answer was obvious and as I expected (that I shouldn’t have gone private, let alone made a bank transfer), so by doing that I lost my protections.
What would you do in this case?

Mentore3 years agoThe real question is... what should you have done to NOT find yourself in this situation...
They say you learn from your mistakes!
Kind regards.
