good evening everyone, I have a problem and I don’t know how to solve it, I hope someone can help me out. About a month ago on this platform, I sold a PC video game, let’s call it a “collector’s item,” it’s xmen the originsiwolverine, ungaged edition, brand new and sealed. A guy bought it from me, asking if it was sealed, asking me for photos to see the condition, and in the end he bought it (70 euros). I shipped it, and the next day he opens a dispute because the video game didn’t work... a game that’s almost 20 years old.. and I don’t even know what platform it was used on, since he had sent me a photo of his video game collection and they were all games for ps4 and 5.. and he wanted to return it to me, I replied no, since it had already been opened, he could return it if it was in the same condition as when I shipped it, so still shrink-wrapped, but like that I couldn’t accept it.. then, after an hour, he opens a dispute with the credit institution (I don’t know which one) saying that the product didn’t match the description..
also sending photos that I couldn’t see, and after a few days, the postman delivers the video game back to my house.. opened, with the little box broken and scratched.. today I get the email saying they ruled in the buyer’s favor... what do I have to provide to protect myself, he may even have played it smart, had a damaged copy at home, and sent me that one, but how am I supposed to know what he sent to his credit institution, and above all how can I in turn send photos and proof of what was actually shipped? I find it a terrible injustice, anyway at the time, as soon as the dispute was opened, I had sent photos to ebay of the product shortly before making the package. but it wasn’t enough, and it’s only 70 euros, but I don’t want to let him get away with it..
