Dispute with PayPal closed but on eBay it still shows as open, preventing me from exercising my right of withdrawal

Mentore7 months agoPayPal is very slow to communicate the status of its disputes to platforms.
For this reason, resorting to PayPal should only be done after a possible problem with an eBay procedure and never before.
Almost always the communication arrives when it is already too late.

OP7 months agoGood morning Mario, in my case it’s not a matter of eBay being slow, and it’s actually eBay’s own policy that prevents the buyer from taking any action, simply because I, unaware of this, opened the dispute through PayPal, the payment method.
Let me explain: when the dispute is opened, not with them but with PayPal, they block any further action, thereby preventing you from exercising your right of withdrawal.
The seller, as in my case, doesn’t respond and the buyer gets left holding the bag.
So both eBay and the seller have trampled on my right to withdraw from the item I bought.

Mentore7 months agoIt always happens because it serves to prevent two refunds from being requested at the same time. The action on PayPal closes off any possibility of also turning to eBay.
Only after PayPal officially informs eBay of the closure of its dispute is it possible to act on eBay, but because PayPal's communication times are incredibly slow, it's always too late.
