Account blocked even after micro deposits
Hi, I’ve been using eBay for years but this is the first time I’ve tried to sell something. During the seller registration I was obviously asked for the IBAN of the account I wanted to link, so I provided it. On the same day as the sale, a couple of days later then, I also get a notification saying they still need to verify the account information. That already seems very strange to me, since the micro-deposit has arrived. Anyway, I carry on, and I try to do the verification through the login itself. Nada. So yesterday afternoon I try uploading the bank statement. Doing that seems to unlock it, until this morning when that notification comes back. I should add that from my card app (Mooney), yesterday, after uploading the bank statement and therefore after it seemed everything had been resolved, I got the notification that eBay had set up a charge of one cent for the 25th (today), i.e. the famous one cent of their micro-deposits. Honestly I don’t know what to think, maybe I just need to wait for them to actually take the money and then it’ll unlock automatically? Otherwise should I contact support by email? Through the site I couldn’t find any chat and calling could be inconvenient, especially if someone answers who doesn’t fully know Italian. Thanks in advance.

Mentore2 years agoThe account holder and the cardholder must be the same person, you need to check whether your card accepts direct debits and transfers, even for just a few cents...
Maybe the problem is your card, not eBay.
Kind regards.

OP2 years agoHi, thanks for the reply. Obviously the cardholder and the owner of the eBay account are the same person. The card accepts direct debits and transfers of a few cents; as I said, I have both received the micro credit of one cent and the notification of active direct debits (I can also suspend or revoke it, but of course I keep it active). As mentioned in the message, today they should also take back the cent.
