Open controversy: EXHAUSTING wait.
Summary: otto_ohm started a discussion about the exhausting wait in a dispute. There are no further details or replies at the moment.
So: because of an incompetent seller, who most likely used the usual blind-sale trick, pretending to have the item in stock in order to buy time and look for a supplier to squeeze with the promise of plenty of guaranteed sales, I have an order pending since November 22, I mean TWENTY-TWO NOVEMBER, in which my money bought a tracking number that has been stuck ever since, and a barrage of nonsense from the seller (the latest, OUTRAGEOUS one: we are waiting for an email from *** to find out whether or not there was a theft in the warehouse). The seller is making a fool of himself, with statements like: "make another order, it will definitely ship tomorrow", or "you know very well that you lost a great deal", which I translate into simple words as: "please, I beg you, close the dispute, let's sort this out between ourselves".
But faced with these premises, I am NOT WITHDRAWING the dispute, not even if the seller comes in person to hand me the purchased item.
eBay is turning a deaf ear: the dispute for item not received has now been open for 96 hours, during which they have been trying to respond for 48 hours. I can understand that the seller in question is making a lot of friends, all of whom would want the same thing: to see his accounting books in the hands of the bankruptcy trustee, but it is UNACCEPTABLE that eBay promises what it cannot keep, without even a shred of apology for the delay or thanks for having waited.
A disgrace within a disgrace.
