Dispute opened by buyer and partial refund
Summary: The discussion concerns a dispute opened by a buyer regarding a partial refund. No further details are specified in the individual posts.
Good evening, I sold some plants a few days ago and the package arrived late (incidentally, there was also a failed delivery attempt). A few days after shipping, since they were delicate plants, the buyer opened a dispute for item not received. The day after opening it, they received the package but the dispute is still open. Since the plants did not arrive in perfect condition, to try to accommodate the buyer I decided to issue a partial refund for the order, but from what I could see I can’t do that because the dispute is still open. Since there is a tracking number showing that delivery took place, does the dispute close automatically or does the buyer have to close it? How and when can I issue the partial refund?
We agreed on the amount to be refunded but at the moment I don’t know how to proceed.
Thanks for your help.

Mentore10 months agoIf you want to do everything on eBay, he has to close the dispute for item not received and open a second one for item received damaged.
Within the second dispute, you can offer a partial refund that he has to accept.
