Dispute rejected, eBay customer service is poor and only protects sellers
Summary: simri-624 reports a rejected dispute and criticizes eBay customer service for not adequately protecting buyers, arguing that it mainly protects sellers. cizeta1964 chimes in without adding any further details to the discussion.
"Terrible experience and the dispute handling was absolutely embarrassing. I received an item completely different from the one I ordered and, despite the evidence, eBay closed the case in my favor... no, actually in my DISFAVOR, without providing the slightest logical explanation.
They say they contacted you, but they give one ring from a number just so they can say they tried. They sent me an email with return instructions, too bad the seller unilaterally closed everything and customer service stood by and watched without lifting a finger. It’s a system that doesn’t protect the buyer in the slightest: if you have a problem, you’re on your own.
Stay away. If you want real support and full protection, buy on Amazon. eBay has become useless and inefficient. Strongly not recommended, never again!"
"After years of use, I am deeply disappointed. In the event of a dispute, customer service does not analyze the facts but applies blind algorithms. I felt abandoned: money lost and no real support. They promise protection, but when you need it they disappear behind preset messages and endless wait times. Never again, I’ll switch to other platforms that respect their users more."

Mentore4 months agoEbay is a platform that is totally and completely biased in favor of the buyer, even more than the one you mentioned.
You just need to know how to use it the right way, and read the rules carefully, which no one does.
Just like no one bothers to understand how the community actually works, which in any case is not ebay, and they also lose the chance to receive real help, simply by making proclamations that no one will read (like the rules).
