What does it entail to delete one or more listings?

Question

My listings, since they fall within the monthly free allowance, do not pay insertion fees. But if, later on, I go ahead and delete them (because maybe the item has been sold elsewhere or it doesn't attract the interest of potential buyers), does that incur a cost? I mean, could eBay ask me to reimburse the insertion fee, even if it falls under the free plan? I thank in advance whoever replies, dedicating their precious time to me!

If you close the listing properly and there were no paid options, there are no costs. himario
