Dispute over an item not received?
Good evening to all eBayers,
On 18/11 I sold an item and the buyer paid promptly. I shipped it on 20/11 as required and used Posta1. I sent the buyer proof photos of the shipment, the receipt and the tracking code. Time passes (even beyond the maximum limit stated by the post office) and the package is not delivered. In the meantime I ship another item always in the same area as the first buyer and, as punctual as can be, after 2 days everything is delivered. Meanwhile I reassure the buyer that, whether it was the Black Friday rush, or the fact that Italian Post isn't exactly lightning fast, the package was shipped normally and at the same time I open a ticket for non-delivery with Poste (29/11). Today, on 30/11, the buyer opens a dispute for non-delivery and up to this point everything is understandable, if it weren't for the fact that I receive an update from the post office (which refers to my tracking) saying that the parcel was delivered yesterday. I kindly inform the user and ask him to withdraw the dispute because now the funds are blocked until 31/12. Reply: “when I receive the goods, sure, I will.” Now, I'm sorry if the package actually got lost or stolen, but if it shows as delivered to the correct address then I'm protected, right? It would really annoy me to lose both money and the item (maybe because of an dishonest buyer).

Mentore2 years agoGood morning,
unfortunately Posta 1 only has delivery confirmation, and generally for eBay that is sufficient.
Enter all the information you have in the dispute and hope for the best...
Kind regards.

OP2 years agoGood evening,
thank you very much for your reply. I hope everything is going well, also because technically (and practically too), the error falls on the Post Office, which mishandled the package.
Let’s hope the details I provided (including the pre-shipment photos) help.
Thank you very much,
Kind regards.
