Mentore2 years agoIn general, beyond certain amounts the VAT is not collected by eBay, but only by the courier upon delivery.
Here we’re talking about 83 euros in VAT and therefore a taxable amount (including 378 euros in duties).
Duties, VAT and customs charges, for purchases made in non-EU countries, must be paid by the buyer.
Anyway, as Sika says, if you pay VAT twice, you can ask for a refund. Check whether you’ve already paid it to eBay .... In cases where eBay has collected the VAT, you’ll see the VAT included in the order total at checkout. In addition, the tax invoice will be available and downloadable from the Order Details page in Purchase history.
Read here too for any refund request: https://www.ebay.it/help/buying/paying-items/pagare-le-imposte-sugli-acquisti-ebay?id=4771&st=3&pos=2&query=Pagare%20le%20imposte%20sugli%20acquisti%20eBay&intent=pagamento%20iva&lucenceai=lucenceai&docId=HELP1425

Mentore2 years agoYou have to pay it yourself.
If you've already paid the VAT to eBay, have the courier leave you a receipt and you can ask eBay for a refund:
Online customer service (ebay.it)
Remember that if you refuse to pay customs, the package will be returned to the sender and you won't be entitled to any refund.
Kind regards.
