Question about the latest eBay update
Summary: hobbyecollezionismo asked a question about the latest eBay update, but didn’t provide specific details or follow up on the discussion.
Good afternoon, I’m asking whether other sellers, like me, have had an update to the selling process. When I accept an offer, the new message I now see says: "You can accept more than one offer for this item. The first buyer who pays wins the item." In this way, when I accept an offer, the listing stays active and does not end up among "awaiting payment" orders. If after an hour or a day the first buyer still hasn’t paid, a second buyer can buy the same item and pay for it, and they get it. I have two problems: I lose credibility with buyers who don’t understand that it’s not up to me but think I’m an dishonest seller, and the second problem is that in case of multiple purchases I can’t send a combined invoice with just one shipping charge. I’m aware that with this new method I don’t lose the sale, but for me my honesty and credibility as a seller are more important than the sale itself. The buyer, with this system, no longer has four days to pay because if they wait, they risk others buying the item they bought before them. I’m asking whether this is a problem that concerns only me and so I’ll just have to accept it, or whether other sellers are finding themselves in difficulties like me. Thanks to anyone who will reply
