Question about the sale of an item from Japan to Italy

Good evening, I’d like to ask you the following. I sell in Italy, and I have a friend in Japan with whom I want to ship products to Italians who buy them. My goal is to simplify shipping by sending directly from Japan to the buyer, with customs charges at their expense (VAT + duties). Now it seems that eBay, on items under 150 euros, is overwriting my price, as if the buyer were paying me the customs VAT. How can I avoid this? I would like to sell the item at my price, ship from Japan to the buyer, and the buyer will pay customs to the mail carrier.

for imports, you don't just have to pay customs charges or any duties, but also VAT itself.
So for amounts under €150, you can't do anything, that's how the system works.

OP1 year agoYes, I know that VAT is paid. The problem I was wondering about is that eBay adds it automatically to the price of the item for sale, so that the buyer pays it to me, but this then forces me to pay customs for him later (which is strange, by the way, because the customs invoice is in the buyer's name, so why does he have to pay it to me, and I have to pay it for him?). Since this doesn't happen on items over 150 euros, in fact I have a listing that exceeds 150 and eBay did not apply VAT automatically. That's why I was wondering if it was possible to create a listing under 150, where the buyer does not have to pay VAT to me

Mentore1 year agoIf you declare that the item is located outside the European Union, as it should be, it is not possible.
