Good evening,
yesterday I made my first sale on eBay and, as I understand it, the buyer chose the local pickup option. I contacted them to arrange the pickup, but I haven’t received a reply yet.
I have a few questions about it:
1. Has the buyer already paid? At the time of pickup, is it enough to scan the code they will provide me, or are there other steps to follow?
2. If the buyer doesn’t respond to my messages, how should I proceed? Is there a deadline by which the pickup has to take place, or any further action to take in case of no contact?

Mentore1 year agoIt clearly says that you have been paid and they remind you of the rules you agreed to: as a new user your funds will be blocked for 15 days (until March 27).
So wait for the buyer to reply so you can arrange a meeting, and remember that when you hand it over you will need to scan his QR code.
Scanning that code will be the proof, for ebay, that the buyer has received your item.

What happens in the event that the buyer does not respond and the pickup meeting is not arranged?

Mentore1 year agoUnfortunately, in the listing you had indicated local pickup only, so it was not the buyer’s choice, but your setting.
So if you do not reach an agreement, you will have to refund them.

I think I also included shipping among the options, but local pickup isn’t a problem: I just hope the buyer gets back to me so we can make arrangements.
Is there a deadline by which pickup must take place and/or the buyer must be refunded?

Local pickup only in Salerno, Italy.
Shipping not available (the buyer must arrange pickup)
Item available within 2 business days of receipt of payment (so starting from March 14).
There is no date by which the buyer has to pick up the item. Since they have paid for it now, it is theirs and you are only its custodian.
If they don't pick it up, they can still request a refund through the eBay procedure (after March 14) and they have 30 days to do so.
