Question about a return
Summary: The discussion is titled 'Question about a return', but it doesn't contain any further content or specific details about the doubt or issue being discussed.
Good morning, a question.
I don’t understand much about return labels, etc.
As a private seller, I was asked for a return for a purchase made by mistake.
I still agreed to refund it (I believe even though I wasn’t obliged to do so, especially since I also specified in the listing that I did not accept returns).
Now, the return shipping costs are all on him. However, he seems annoyed to pay for the return label and asked me if I could possibly do the return outside of eBay.
What should I do? I mean, what protections would I lose in this case? Would I end up losing the selling fees? How will eBay know that the return was successfully completed outside the site (maybe through in-person delivery)? Once the transaction is completed, is it up to the buyer to report it?
Thanks to anyone who can help me

Mentore1 year agoGood morning,
absolutely do nothing outside of eBay.
The return for change of mind is the buyer's responsibility... if they don't want to spend money to send the product back to you, that's their problem!
Wait for them to ship the item and don't advance a cent.
If they do not respect the terms of the request (21 days), everything will be closed in your favor without having to refund anything and the buyer will keep the item.
Kind regards.
