Question about a sale made outside one's country of residence

Hello, I’ve just sold an item in the Czech Republic (the money is already in my account, although a lot less after counting eBay’s excessive fees, and they’re also locked), and since another time I’ve already been tricked out of both the item and the money because eBay wasn’t able to record the sale and the money received on my account and so they were locked, I wanted to know how I, as the seller, am protected if the buyer no longer shows up. Is the buyer able to cancel the sale once they have received the item? Am I protected even if something were to happen? I’m asking because it’s a nice sum of money and an item that would be very upsetting to lose. Thanks

Mentore7 months agoIn all online sales, on any platform (with payment by credit card or derivatives (Klarna, PayPal, etc... ), there is no absolute protection.
Most buyers are honest, but if you run into a shrewd and dishonest buyer you have no escape; the higher the item's value and resaleability, the greater the risk.
For absolute safety, only in-person exchange with cash payment.
