Question about shipping with an external courier to eBay
Hello everyone,
I’d like to understand whether I did everything correctly.
This is the first time I’ve sold an item on ebay and in my listing I had included local pickup, but unfortunately the buyer did not have the chance to come and collect the item so I looked with him for a courier that could deliver the item to him. It is a domestic shipment with a courier that collects pallets, with a tail lift and use of a pallet jack, so it is an expensive shipment. I therefore corrected my listing with the shipping costs approved by the buyer and notified him when the shipping company picked up the item.
I only have a shipping code, no barcode, do I need to enter anything else?
Did I do everything correctly?

Mentore2 years agoI’d say not at all, your listing for the rotavator only allows local pickup... how were you able to add shipping after the listing was finished?
Let’s say you made a big mistake; if you only planned for local pickup, it would have been better to cancel the sale and redo the listing with shipping added.
That way you’re at the mercy of the buyer; if they open a claim for an item not received, you’ll have no way to prove otherwise, because where shipping isn’t предусмотрed, you can’t enter any tracking.

Today I will call Customer Service and explain the situation anyway; the listing also required a change on the shipping side, where I changed it from pickup to shipping (in fact it was suggesting solutions directly from eBay, which however did not work for me) I entered the shipping cost and lowered the sale price, as agreed with the buyer, and I saved it and the price was updated....
The shipment sent by courier is insured and a signature is required upon receipt, always keeping the buyer updated via message.
I also wrote to the shippers to find out how the shipping is going.
I hope to resolve it.

the item you sold did not include shipping, so the change you say you made did not go through, therefore if you had intended only pickup, you should NOT have shipped.
This is what shows up.
