eBay made me select a pickup point that doesn't have Poste Italiane courier service
Summary: A participant expressed concern that eBay forced them to select a pickup point that does not accept Poste Italiane deliveries. This situation was confirmed in a response they received, but no further details or solutions were provided later in the conversation.
Hello everyone,
I made two purchases from two different sellers, selecting a Pickup Point from the Ebay interface and from the list of pickup points provided.
The problem is that the first seller shipped with Poste Italiane and untracked mail, the second with registered mail, also Poste Italiane.
When I went to the pickup point to ask whether anything had arrived, they told me that they don’t handle Poste Italiane at all.
So how should I handle this now?
Why was I shown a pickup point if it was incompatible with the seller’s shipping?
Thank you very much

Mentore1 year agoHello,
let's say it would be your responsibility to check what the seller ships with and whether the Fermo Point can accept it or not... in fact, registered mail and untracked mail are not compatible with FPs, just read how they work.
If you had asked the seller, using an FP was definitely pointless... so if the packages have been returned to their respective senders, contact them, pay for a new shipment and have them delivered to your home.
Best regards.

OP1 year agoI'll be honest, I don't understand why it's my responsibility 😅
In any marketplace or simple e-commerce site, pickup points are managed based on the shipping methods set by the seller, it doesn't make much sense to suggest them to me beforehand without knowing whether they're compatible or not, especially since every carrier has its own pickup points.
On what basis does Ebay suggest them if it doesn't know which carriers there are?
It doesn't make sense.
