According to the tracking code provided to me by the seller, my package was in customs. I pointed out to the seller that I had contacted the postal service by email, the one he had used to ship the item, and that they had not replied to me; moreover, I had never been contacted by the national postal service to pay any duties, as usually happens. I asked the seller if he could contact the postal service he used to ship the item to let me know how I should proceed. The seller never replied to me and I had to open a dispute for item not received because, as time passed, the tracking showed that the item had been sent back. In this regard, I wonder:How can eBay say that the seller showed them the tracking code where it says that the courier tried to deliver the package and that I have to pick it up at the postal service? Couldn't and shouldn't eBay have checked the tracking code that I also have access to?How can I proceed with an appeal now and how many days do I have to file it?Thank you in advance.
