eBay never disappoints: another scam perpetrated against me
I sold and shipped an item through eBay Packlink, but the shipment seems to have disappeared; I advise the buyer to open a dispute for item not received. Ebay packlink say to wait for the carrier's response, but by some strange coincidence they unlawfully charge the transaction to my bank account and they don't pay. European Court, here I come.

You are responsible for the shipment until it is delivered into the recipient's hands, so if it gets lost, you are the one who has to compensate the customer... eBay simply did it for you... you yourself advised your buyer to open a report!

OP2 years agoI fully agree with you, the customer is not at fault, but the responsibility lies with Ebay Packlink. I always take out the insurance coverage for the full amount of the transaction, so if Packlink Ebay declare the shipment to be in transit, why am I forced to reimburse the customer and Ebay Packlink turn a deaf ear? So should I charge the damages to Ebay?

Mentore2 years agoIf you have purchased the insurance coverage, you can make a claim against Packlink.

I would like to update you: today I received a direct reply from the carrier stating that Ebay must refund the customer and not Packlink. I find that curious, I must say. I never mentioned eBay as the point of contact. There is every basis to report Packlink's hidden partner

Mentore2 years agoUntil the parcel is declared lost by the courier, you're in limbo; you can't ask anyone for compensation.
Ebay simply raised the issue in advance because of the delivery delay.
So wait for updates from the courier and then don't drag your feet and contact Packlink, using the link Mario already gave you.
Ebay didn't sell you anything; you didn't arrange the shipment with them.
