eBay punishes private sellers and manipulates the feedback of professional sellers
Hello, today after more than fifteen years I got confirmation that eBay manipulates feedback at will: if you're private users, you're punished; instead, in similar cases eBay removes the feedback that annoys the sellers who pay to be spared

OP2 years agoI admitted my mistake and so I paid, but being taken for some kind of crook really stings. My mistake was trying to satisfy the customer and making sure the shipment was delivered as quickly as possible; the items in question are the same, with the only difference being that the one in question was scratched and described in detail, whereas the one shown in the photo was perfect, without scratches. Anyway, I am responsible for what happened.

OP2 years agoHello, the aim of my post is to understand why the messages exchanged with the buyer were not reviewed. The buyer is making false claims; the item in question matches the description. My mistake was that I uploaded the wrong images. Having sensed the bad intentions, I preferred to refund immediately and avoid pointless arguments. The result was very disappointing. Now the question is this: I have never left negative feedback. Anyone who works can make a mistake in good faith; this has been my view until today, no more. Whoever makes a mistake according to eBay rules must be punished by customer service that does not know the Italian language and considers itself above our principles of honesty and fairness.

Mentore2 years agoIf you yourself just wrote that you messed up uploading the photos, the item does not match the description... remember that the description is not just the written one, but also the visual one.
So if you admit you made a mistake, you also have to be honest in accepting the consequences and in having found a picky buyer.

Mentore2 years agoMaybe, based on what you claim, professional sellers know the rules better.
If you had read the rules carefully, you would have immediately had the last negative feedback you received removed. NOT RECOMMENDED SELLER! is a subjective comment and as such it violates both Italian defamation laws and eBay rules.
All you can do is follow the advice of those who came before me and switch immediately to a professional account, where you’ll finally be able to enter your VAT number.

If you really mean what you wrote, get yourself in order too, switch to professional and then we'll talk again...
