Ebay Bartolini shipping: package very delayed, maybe lost

Good morning everyone, I shipped a parcel with Bartolini through eBay Shipping on 22/12/2024 and as of today, 13/01/2025, it is still showing at the branch.
I contacted the buyer, who claims to have received no message or call about a possible hold and to have contacted the nearby Bartolini branches (including the one that is said to have the parcel) without being able to track the parcel down.
According to tracking, the parcel is still at the branch. This is the first time this has happened to me and I would like to understand what happens if the order cannot be found?

Read carefully and pay attention to the procedure and timing because they are very "nitpicky" and tend to avoid refunding.
