Is there a right to a refund for an incorrect purchase?
Summary: The discussion concerns the possibility of having a right to a refund in the event of an incorrect purchase. However, none of the participants added any further information or details to the conversation.
I bought an item (Dyson replacement part)
The seller writes to me to make sure I didn’t make a mistake (maybe I’m not the first)
I have problems with email and I don’t see his message, so he ships it
When I read the message I start to doubt it, and in fact I bought the wrong thing, but the item is already at the pickup point
I haven’t picked up the package yet and I asked for a return, offering to pay all shipping costs
The seller refused the return process, basically saying that I had authorized the shipment (false)
Is there in practice a right to a refund for online purchases or not?
Can eBay step in in these cases? And PayPal?
Thanks for the suggestions/opinions

Mentore1 year ago..... and anyway even if the seller accepted returns, you should first pick up the package and then ask for a return and refund for your change of mind. Return shipping costs would be your responsibility.

Mentore1 year agoIf the seller doesn't accept returns, you'll have to keep the item you bought.
Obviously, the seller is a private individual.
Kind regards.
