Incorrect return label
Hello. My return for a purchase was accepted because the package arrived damaged and the item was broken. I received the return label, but it has two problems:
1) the item to be returned weighs 10kg and the label I received is for 3 kg! Will I have to pay the difference for the extra weight?
2) the sender’s address (that is, mine) is no longer my current one, since at the time of purchase I had given a temporary delivery address...
The seller was aware of the address problem, but made the label like this without asking me anything.
With this label I was given, can I still send the return? Will I be covered?

Mentore2 years agoThe address shouldn’t be a problem, the tracking to the recipient is what counts, but the weight would force you to pay an extra charge that you shouldn’t have to pay.

OP2 years agoThanks, I was afraid that at the post office they might give me trouble with the prepaid label for a lower weight...
I saw that asking eBay to step in during the return process would open some kind of dispute, and I’m afraid of “burning” my future chance of being able to turn to them again if there were problems later with the refund from the seller (he’s very clever and experienced and I’m just a newbie) because I don’t see any other refund dispute options.
I’ve sent the seller a message through eBay asking nicely to sort it out... I’ll wait a few days and I hope it goes well... otherwise I’ll have no choice but to go ahead with escalating it.
Am I doing the right thing, in your opinion?
