feedback
Has anyone ever had a negative feedback they sent to a seller disappear?
Is there a section for complaints at ebay? The "help and contacts" section redirects me to topics that aren't relevant to my case and almost always to prefilled suggestions.
Thanks.

Mentore3 years agoNegative feedback can be removed, at the seller's request, only if it violates eBay rules or if it goes against national defamation laws.
To speak with an operator, just go to the bottom of this online help page and on a gray bar you'll find the links....https://www.ebay.it/help/account/contacting-ebay-customer-service/contatta-ebay?id=4379&st=3&pos=1&query=Contatta%20eBay&intent=contatta&lucenceai=lucenceai&docId=HELP1326

OP3 years agoThe feedback was negative because of a clearly non-compliant description of the item shipped. They were toilet seat hinges advertised as steel, but in reality made of fragile zinc alloy. In fact, they broke after just a few days. The seller's response was that my toilet is crooked, not that the hinges were really made of steel, implicitly admitting the non-compliance. Before ordering I had asked for confirmation that they were steel, but he hadn’t replied, then I bought them anyway and I didn’t even ask for a refund because the amount spent was so small. If I then can’t even see a negative feedback published, I’m a bit upset and I don’t understand where the defamation could be or which eBay rule I would have violated by leaving the feedback.

Mentore3 years agoIt depends on the words used.
For example:
The hinges were described as steel but are actually zamak is fine.
Unreliable seller, ships non-compliant items is removed (because starting from a specific case, you’re making generalized and subjective judgments about the seller’s reputation).

OP3 years ago... ok, I get it! I don't think I wrote that it was unreliable, I can't check anymore, but it was the seller's reply that was offensive (my item isn't compliant, but it's you who are using it wrong, you're putting it on a crooked toilet!) .
Anyway, thanks for the reply.
Bye.
