Negative feedback canceled
Good evening everyone. As I can see, this is a recurring issue, but the story keeps repeating itself without any resolution. Let me tell you what happened: I leave negative feedback (the first since 2007!!!), but it gets deleted after a few hours. If it’s the first one after all these years, it’s because there really were no excuses—in fact, an item is being sold with features different from those listed, and once this was established beyond any doubt and could be documented (I contacted the manufacturer), the seller stalls but (wouldn’t you know it) accepts the return and full refund. The funny thing is that they keep selling with the same listing, claiming a feature that isn’t true and therefore selling at a higher price than it should be. What would you call this affair? In Italy it should be called fraud... but for eBay that’s fine, and they keep protecting these people rather than the buyers. Unacceptable treatment. Deep disappointment with eBay. A real shame.

Mentore3 years agoThere are rules and laws; the word scam cannot be used so lightly. So if you used that word or if you expressed your own subjective judgments, it’s obvious that your feedback was removed (at the request of the offended party).

OP3 years agoI made sure not to use that word. I could have, but I limited myself to describing the facts. In any case, no one bothered to ask me about the matter. So, a priori, they believed the seller and not the buyer.

Mentore3 years agoWith all due respect, when you left the feedback, did you "ask someone about it"?
So, if the feedback violated eBay rules, why should "someone" have asked you anything about it?
Since leaving it is therefore entirely optional and at your own discretion... eBay, if necessary, removes it at its own discretion.
It is neither about believing the buyer nor about believing the seller...
Kind regards.
