Negative feedback disappeared
Summary: The discussion revolves around the topic "Negative feedback missing", but the content of the messages is not available to summarize.
I purchased an item on December 4 with delivery expected on the 9th. On the delivery day the item still hadn't been shipped, and since it hadn't been shipped I made a refund request which the seller completely ignored, shipping the item on the 10th. At this point eBay's terrible support forced me to wait until December 26, and on December 23 I finally received what I had paid for. Today I left negative feedback, in which I only indicated the purchase, shipping, and delivery dates, but it disappeared; it's not among the feedback left for other users, and neither is it among the seller's. Has anyone had a similar problem? Or is it normal practice for eBay to defend sellers in every possible way?
Thanks

Mentore1 year agoBy way of example, there are some of your past feedback comments that would have been removed immediately by eBay (at the seller's request) because they did not comply with eBay's feedback policies (as well as not being admissible under Italian defamation law for a public post):
If you expressed a similar judgment this time as well, it is normal that it may have been removed.

OP1 year agoSo leaving negative feedback because an item that was supposed to be delivered on the 9th was delivered on the 23rd because the seller forgot to ship it is considered spite? At this point, what’s the point of feedback on eBay?

Mentore1 year agoYou didn't understand the connection... whatever the reason the seller shipped late!
If you hadn't opened a report, maybe it wouldn't have been removed.

OP1 year agoI was wrong, I didn't want to accept this as the solution, not because it's incorrect but because even if it's right, I really consider it absurd. Anyway, at this point it's clear that sellers can do whatever they want without paying the consequences because then there's eBay that fixes everything and doesn't care about the problems some sellers create for buyers.

Mentore1 year agoThat’s absolutely not true; if the seller shipped late, they’ll get a defect on their performance and it will be harder for them to sell, since they’ll lose visibility.
I don’t think waiting a little longer but still receiving the item is such a big problem!
And if eBay had refunded you and then you received the item... what would you have done?
It’s obvious that you need to allow the necessary time to resolve the issue you raised.
Enjoy the rest of the discussion.

Mentore1 year agoYou opened a valid report on eBay but the seller fulfilled your request... the feedback appears to be out of spite and therefore violates eBay's rules.
Kind regards.
